LEARN MORE ABOUT STARTING A BUSINESS IN DOWNTOWN HINESVILLE, GEORGIA
Planning and registration are underway for the annual Scarecrow Stroll; this year’s theme is “Show Your Superpower”. The Halloween event, sponsored and organized by the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, brings more than 15,000 people to the heart of historic downtown for trick-or-treating, hayrides, entertainment, and more, making it one of the city’s biggest events of the year.
The festival, which was founded in 2009, runs from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, October 25th, and will feature a multitude of activities spread out throughout Bradwell Park: Commerce, Midway, and Main streets; M.L. King Jr. Drive and Central Avenue – all of which will be partially closed to traffic. Area businesses, civic groups, churches, and volunteers are needed to host candy stations, decorate, and sponsor or facilitate other activities. A detailed schedule map of the activities will be released in the last week of October.
This year, a group of community volunteers have combined their "superpowers" to design a unique zone within the festival keeping in mind those who experience sensory issues. Sensory Central is a safe zone open to everyone in the community.
